Our recent trip to Puebla was worth the short two hour drive from Mexico City. We learned a lot about the history of the city AND we got to eat one of my favorite Treats from Mexico, the Chili en Nogada. It is a poblano chili filled with a mixture of ground meat, fruits, and spices, topped with a delicious walnut cream sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds (red), walnuts (white), and parsley (green) to represent the Mexican flag.
I travel a lot to Mexico to visit my wife's family and I have discovered many special treats that many of my friends and family don't know about. So, this is how I will share my Mexican discoveries with them.

Esquites and Elotes
Whether it is corn in a cup or corn on the cob, esquites and elotes are two of my favorite treats from Mexico.
