To anybody who may be following this video blog............

If you are following this video blog then you have noticed that I haven't posted anything new lately. I have been back to Mexico twice since the last post and I couldn't find right topics that I wanted to cover here.

I actually did record a video during my December trip for the amazing Micheladas de Mexico but the audio was horrible and I scrubbed the project for another time.

Last week I was in Mexico again. Whenever you don't want "tamales oaxaqueños ricos", those guys are everywhere with their recorded messages, but when I go looking for them I can't find them anywhere. Go figure.

I am still here and waiting for just the right additions to my collection.

Papas Fritas con Salsa

Potato chips with hot sauce is the union of simplicity and deliciousness. I don't know why we don't eat this stuff here in the United States, but for some reason we don't. We should. It makes it even more fun to buy them from a street vendor.

Chili en Nogada

Our recent trip to Puebla was worth the short two hour drive from Mexico City. We learned a lot about the history of the city AND we got to eat one of my favorite Treats from Mexico, the Chili en Nogada. It is a poblano chili filled with a mixture of ground meat, fruits, and spices, topped with a delicious walnut cream sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds (red), walnuts (white), and parsley (green) to represent the Mexican flag.

Esquites and Elotes

Whether it is corn in a cup or corn on the cob, esquites and elotes are two of my favorite treats from Mexico.

Blue Corn Tortilla Sope

What's a Sope? Funny you should ask. I have JUST the video for you. Alicia and I stopped off to grab a bite to eat today and a sope was the main course.

Churros

Hey guys! I am back in Mexico, and I am here to show you some more treats from Mexico. This time I will show you the churro. This treat is making its way to the United States, but the ones I have had aren't as good as the ones that we get in Mexico.

  • El Bazaar Sabado
  • Tamales Oaxaqueños
  • Bullfight Part 2 (Pablo Hermoso De Mendoza)
If anybody has any requests, please leave comments here and I will do my best to make it happen.
